A hospital bed is a very hard item to sale. When someone needs one it is not a good time in their lives. i would love to be able to give it away but we just cannot afford to do that so if anyone needs one I have it listed with pictures on Kijiji

I agree that these beds are in demand. Reason why I personally would love to see one get donated to some organization/society.

My wife's Grandmother in her 90's lived with us. In the begining of that era I myself was able bodied and earning a good amount of money so she wanted for not much.
Shortly into that time I myself fell ill. Had surgery and was "cured" well they think maybe i am cured. But alas the cure left me looking able bodied but now am not. I cannot work and we live off my wife's income from a fast food job (glad to have the income) and I receive a small CPP disability income.

When granny had no more need of the specialty items we had accumulated we did give to a place called the "Tommy cupboard" the bulk of it all. like i said we just could not afford to give away an item that cost us over $2000.00

This is not ment to be a Whine session or an excuse for being stingy just a reality check.

If anyone else thinks this item should be given to a needy person i would gladly discuss how a few people can pitch in purchase the bed at a greatly reduced amount (the reduced amount would be my contribution) and then donate it to that person.

No thanks. I personally have no use for one.
However, my mother was in need of one a couple years past and thankfully one became available and was loaned to us from the organization. She used it in her final stages and we were ever so grateful.

Hopefully someone gets use out of this bed rather then it just collecting dust. Good luck.

Hmmmm Creed do you have a name or email address for "the organization" that lent the bed to you in your time of need....perhaps they would be in the market for one more bed at a good price which they could then lend out to the people who could best use it.
