I am looking for some new ideas when it comes to salad dressing. Feel free to post your favorite store bought or home made dressing.

I'm a pretty big creature of habit when it comes to salad dressings.. Try using this dressing as a marinate for chicken or steak......then BBQ

Never hold your farts in. They travel to your brain and that's where shitty ideas come from.

my fave store bought ones are the Renee's Balsamic viniegrette, as well as the Kraft Reduced Fat Balsamic Viaigrette, for salads.
There is another brand, that i can't think of right now, that is some sort of fat free, 0 calorie balsamic vinegrette, which is really thick (well, thicker), and different tasting from the ones mentioned above, but i like it a lot as well.
another sort of 'dressing' i make is a clamato based one, when i cook baby shrimps to go in my salad. it makes enough of it to drizzel over my salad. it consists of clamato, garlic, green onions and pepper. basic, but it gets nice and thick while you cook the shrimp. YUM!
another type of dressing i like a lot is sesame ginger, which is usually served with a green salad at sushi restaurants. not sure what the kraft one is like, but the homemade ones they make at the restaurants is SO good. will have to try it at home sometime (or ask 'em for their recipe)

1/2 to 1 tsp dijon 3 tbsp vinegar (your choice of type, I like red wine or balsamic) 9 tbsp olive oil
Dry herbs can be added to compliment your dish... whatever you are having the salad with.
That's approx. measures. I just add salt and pepper to taste. If vinegar is too strong, add honey. If you like dijon, add more. If not add some water,.
Pretty much freestyle, but that's the idea.

If you like garlic, this may be for you. just made it tonight.
i used a magic bullet (basic size), so i just kind of eyeballed things.
Handful of fresh parsley 1/2 cup shredded parm cheese red wine vinegar sunflower oil (olive oil maybe better, i just ddn't have any) some oregano some coarse salt bit of white pepper 3-4 cloves of garlic
Churn up in your blender until smooth.
It comes out green due to the parsley of course, so if that is something that bothers you, i dunno, add some food colouring haha
We ate it on top of sliced cucumber and tomato. very tasty. VERY garlicky!

I made a dressing last night that turned out great:
roasted almond oil honey whole grain mustard red wine vinegar garlic powder ground ginger fresh ground pepper
Don't ask me about quantities, I never measure for things like dressings, just put in what feels like enough.

made this just now; nice lower fat option.
1/2 cup buttermilk 1/3 cup crumbled feta 1 clove garlic 2 tbsp low fat mayo (or sour cream could work) 1 tsp dijon mustard 1/2 tsp oregano 1/4 tsp pepper
Whisk it all together, or (like myself) use your Magic Bullet to do the work for you!
Mmm mm.
